Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF)
It is our belief…
…that all individuals have the capacity to grow and learn and that this development can be enhanced through planned efforts to regulate environmental variables and modify behaviors. The main goal of our facility is to enable our residents to reach their highest adaptive level and to enrich their dignity.
Intermediate Care Facilities
Kenmar Residential Services, Inc. owns 20 Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) and manages two more in Texas. These are located in and around Abilene, Austin, Denton, Gonzales and La Grange.
We provide a comfortable home environment with no more than six residents per home. We have long-term dedicated staff who are available 24/7 to provide services and to help each resident accomplish their individualized goals.
Each resident living in an ICF facility has an Individualized Program Plan developed and reviewed yearly by an inter-disciplinary team. This comprises the resident, family member or guardian and Kenmar staff. These plans are tailor-made to each resident and set out ways to improve their quality of care and the direction in the lives. Kenmar will follow the Federal requirements to provide a well-rounded plan of care in the areas of activities of daily living, community access and vocational skills.
Recreation Services
Kenmar Residential Services, Inc. provides a wide range of planned, supervised, recreational activities for its residents. Periodic recreation surveys are conducted for each resident to develop and plan the recreation activities schedule. Involvement in the Special Olympics Program is encouraged for all residents who wish to participate. These programs include bowling, track and field, basketball, etc.
Community Inclusion
The community is an essential part of the training environment. Our facilities include in their activity programs as many community functions and opportunities as possible. We encourage and foster social and family contact.
